KIN TIMOTHY CHENG

Timothy is a multidisciplinary artist, stylist, and photographer based in New York City. A graduate of Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Photography (January 2025), he creates sculptural works using his own photography, merging image and form into a striking visual language. His practice is rooted in his Korean and Chinese heritage, through which he interrogates and reimagines societal ideals around beauty and identity.

As a stylist, Timothy has worked alongside visionary stylists like Paul Sinclaire, Anna Trevelyan and Patti Wilson on editorials for Vogue Japan, V Magazine, ODDA, and more. His photographic work has been featured in Ladygunn, PhotoVogue, and other platforms, known for its fashion-forward sensibility and conceptual depth.

Timothy’s work blurs the boundary between photography and sculpture, using surreal, fashion-driven imagery to explore the emotional weight of Asian beauty standards. Shooting in both digital and film, he brings an intimate perspective to questions of self-representation, conformity, and visibility. Each piece invites viewers to engage with the complexities of identity and the power of visual storytelling.
